
Reminder that auditions for Missoula Children's Theatre, Johnny Apple Seed, start on Monday, October 28th at 4pm until approximately 6pm. Your student will need transportation home following tryouts on Monday. All students who plan to try out need to have their forms turned in by Monday at noon.

The school will be organizing a Giving Tree once again this Christmas Season. This project helps our Comet families in need. All families that are needing some help are invited to fill out a form (for just the kids or all members) and return to the office. All information is confidential. For those in need, please take advantage of this gift. We have all experienced hard times. Now is the time to accept some help! Giving tree forms can be found in our document file on the website or in the office. Forms are due November 7th.


All report cards are being sent home today, Oct 24th.

Elementary Fundraiser items are in and being sent home today, October 23rd. Students who have a large box of items will receive a phone call from the school to arrange pick up. Please call the school with any questions or concerns.

Tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 23rd, is National Unity Day! Please wear orange as a symbol of your support. We stand united against bullying. Speak out for each other. Positive self talk is the solution.

Our first Family Fun Night of the year has finally arrived! Come enjoy a family cornhole tournament and game night tomorrow, October 22nd from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Book Fair will be open during the event!

"Mountain Plains Crunch Off"
In celebration of Farm to School Month, States throughout the Mountain Plains Region are competing to see which State can get the most "crunches" into a local apple. Everyone in the school received an apple and all "crunched" at the same time. Thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for everything you do!



Missoula Children's Theatre audition permission slips were sent home today with Kinder-8th grade. High school can pick up forms in the office or can be found on our website under documents. Please return permission slips no later than October 24th.

Housing Needed! We are looking for pet free housing for one of the directors from the Missoula Children's Theatre group. We would need housing from October 27th through November 3rd. If you would like to host please call the school at 701-828-3334 and ask to speak to Mrs. Simonson.


The Alexander Activities Club meeting is changed from today, Oct 14th to tomorrow Oct 15th at 4 pm in the library.

The home volleyball games scheduled for tomorrow, Oct 15th, are as followed: JH at 5:00 pm., JV at 6:00 pm, and the Varsity at 7:00 pm. Come cheer on our Comets!!

The 6 Man Championship football games will be played on Saturday Oct. 19th. Teams will now be seeded according to their season standings. Our Comets team, seed #4, will play #3 seed Midway/Minto at 4:00 pm in Watford City at the Rough Rider Center Football Field. The Championship game between #1 seed Drake/Anamoose and #2 seed Center/Stanton to follow at 7:00 pm. GO COMETS!! Hope to see you all there!

Six-Man Football Championship Clothing is now for sale. Order forms can be found under Documents or Menu on the website. Forms need to be turned into the office by noon on October 14th. All checks can be made to Alexander Public School.

The Advisory has been lifted, we will proceed with a 10:00 a.m. start, busses will be heading out shortly. Bus times should be adjusted for the 2 hour delay.

Alexander parents and guardians, there is still a No Travel Adivsory in place. We are monitoring the road report and are in contact with D.O.T. The late start has not been extended at this time, we will update again at 9:00 a.m. as to our plans.

October 10, 2019, Alexander Public Schools will have a two hour late start today due to the No Travel Advisory at this time. Per school board policy if the No Travel Advisory is NOT lifted, the late start may be extended. There is a two hour late start for Alexander School.

Due to weather conditions across the state, the decision has been made to CANCEL the first round of 6 man playoffs. There will be NO game in Drake this Friday Oct. 11th. Championship Day will be next Saturday, Oct 19th at the Rough Rider Football field in Watford City. More information to come.

The volleyball game scheduled for tomorrow, Oct 10th in White Shield will ONLY be a Varsity game. The game will start at 5:00 pm. This is a time change from the original schedule.
