APS Special Board Meeting was tonight at 7:00pm. A motion was made by Vice President Wahlstrom and seconded by Board Member Cloud. The motion was as following: I make a motion that Alexander Public School District acknowledges and will encourage the ND Department of Health's Executive Order #2020-08 along with the Governor's Executive Order #2020-43. The Alexander School District is not an enforcement agency of mandates therefore APS, including administration and teachers, will not police the use of masks being worn or not worn in school or on school transportion. Currently, according to the APS Handbook, administration can contact the proper enforcement agency if they deem necessary for a violation of law. It is then up to the local law enforcement to respond accordingly. Motion was carried unanimously.
