Alexander School families, school will be in session on Monday, March 16th. We have put precautions into place and will continue to follow the guidelines set forth by Governor Burgum and the ND Department of Health.
The Region 9 Music Festival scheduled for Monday, March 16th has been postponed at this time. We will know more next week if there is a new date.

The next After Prom meeting will be held on March 18th at 5:30 p.m. in Miss Johnson's room. This is a parent sponsored event for our students after prom.
Alexander Public School received a great surprise today! Senate recognition of our school and robotics FTC team was provided to President Trump by Senator Cramer. It is a great honor and very exciting. The letter will be displayed in our trophy case by the front office. Congratulations to our FTC team and our STEM educators!
Just a reminder that Pennies for Patients fundraiser is ending tomorrow, March 5th and the winning class will be announced after spring break. This fundraiser provides money for youth cancer patients in our region. Students can bring their change to the blue boxes placed in their classrooms.
Any athletes participating in spring sports at Williston Schools, must return their Activity Registration Packets to the APS office by March 4th. Forms can be found on our school website or in the office. Sports Physicals are required by the first day of practice.

2020 Boys Basketball District 15 Tournament- February 28th, 29th and March 2nd at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City. Our boys first game is on February 28th at 3pm vs New Town.
Junior students will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 3rd at school. The state of North Dakota allows every junior to take the ACT for free.
Please join us tonight for our last home Boys Basketball games starting at 5:30 in the new gym. Parents' Night will be celebrated between games. We will also be showcasing our winning FTC Robotics Team during half time. Concessions will include fresh homemade options with baked goods as well!
The basketball game scheduled for tomorrow, February 21st, will be the last home game for the boys. It is also Parents Night. The JH boys play at 5:30 against District 8 with the Varsity boys following playing against Tioga. Come out and support our Comets at their last home game!!
Tomorrow, Wednesday February 19th, is the annual spelling bee in Alexander. Just a reminder to all parents that grade PK, K and 7-12 are the ONLY grades that have school. Grades 1-6 will only come if they are in the spelling bee. All other students have the day off. If your child is in the spelling bee and you want them to ride the bus please contact your bus driver tonight. Buses will run at normal school times.
