Junior High and Varsity home football game for Saturday, August 24th has been canceled. Junior High game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 27th at 5:30pm, no date for Varsity game.
Any student in grades 1 - 4 wanting to be in flag football that HASN'T signed up please let the office know this week.
Welcome back to all students! Tomorrow students in grades 7-12 will report to the old gym at 8:00; at that time students will receive their locker assignments and class schedules. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
Varsity and Junior High volleyball practice starts on Monday, August 19th at 4:30pm. Please remember you must have a physical form turned in before you are allowed to practice. There will be a Varsity/JH Parent Meeting following practice on the 19th at 6:30pm in the new gymnasium.

Just a reminder to all Kinder and PK parents: Both Kinder and PK students will not start school until Monday August 19th. PK students that are schedule on Tuesday/Thursdays won't start until Aug 20th. All Kinder students have scheduled appointment on either Thursday Aug 15th or Friday Aug 16th. If you are unsure of appointment times, please call the school.
There will be a football parent/ player meeting for Jr High and HS on Aug 4th at 5pm, 5th and 6th grade will follow at 6:30. Elementary coaches will be handing out equipment. Jr High and HS will be handing out equipment later in the week. Sports physical are required for 7-12th grade by the first day of practice. Sports physicals are recommended but not required for elementary players.
There will be a 5th & 6th grade football meeting for both parents and athletes on August 4th @ 630 pm in the Commons Area. Equipment will also be handed out that night. Physicals are not required but encouraged. If you can not make it please contact Coach Simonson or Coach Hanna.

Registration for the 2019-2020 school year at Alexander Public School will start on July 31st and August 1st for NEW families. Returning families will be as follows: last names beginning with A-G on August 1st, last names beginning with H-M on August 5th and last names beginning with N-Z on August 6th. All registration days will run 9:00-2:00. If you have questions feel to contact the office.
With school quickly approaching, the school would like to remind all parents of athletes that a new sports physical is required before your athlete can begin practicing for the fall season.

Reminder: The Comet Acceleration Program will begin Wednesday, June 19th at 6:00am. The program will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week for 6 weeks from 6:00 a.m to 7:00 a.m. The program will work on strength and stability with a focus on speed, power and balance and will benefit everyone. The cost is $50.00 for the entire summer. Please bring proper gym shoes. The program will be in the Comets' Fitness Center.
Registration that was scheduled for June 17th through June 19th has been postponed. A notification will be sent out as soon as a new date has been scheduled.
Alexander Public School is holding an early registration for families who attended Alexander during the 2018 -2019 school year. Registration times will be from 9 am - 2 pm on Monday June 17th through Wednesday June 19th. Due to a continual increase of enrollment, this early registration allows us to be prepared at the beginning of the school year. If you can't make it please call the school. There will be another registration the end of July for new families.
There is a large amount of clothing that has been left behind. If your child is missing any clothing, you are welcome to check our lost and found. All lost and found will be donated in one week.
There will be a bake sale tomorrow put on by the FTC Team at lunch time. They are raising funds for their trip to Washington, DC.
It's not too late to participate in the Dodge Ball Tournament tomorrow at Alexander Public School! Team sign ups start at 10:30 a.m. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball! This is a fun way to support our FTC Robotics Team. See you in the morning!
