“I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.” — Frank Lloyd Wright.

What an exciting week, Comets! We hope you had a happy Easter!

We’ve had a whirlwind of activity, and there’s still so much more to come—so buckle up and let’s dive into everything that’s been happening in our amazing Comet community!

We kicked things off with one of the most impactful events of the year—our Annual Blood Drive! Held just yesterday, this incredible event saw students, staff, and community members come together for a life-saving cause. Thanks to the generosity and courage of our donors, we were able to send off a substantial donation to Vitalant, who will now be able to help save countless lives. Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves—you are heroes!

The magic of theatre is back! The Missoula Children’s Theatre is returning to town, and this year they’re bringing the beloved classic Pinocchio to the stage. Auditions will be held next week, so parents—don’t forget to sign those permission slips! This is an incredible opportunity for our young performers to gain experience, build confidence, and have an unforgettable time. Break a leg, future stars!

Today we captured memories that will last a lifetime during Class Picture Day. Be on the lookout for those class photo orders soon!

We are beyond proud to announce that eight of our talented Speech Team members have qualified for State Competition! These students have worked incredibly hard, honing their skills and perfecting their performances, and now it’s time for them to shine on the big stage.
Let’s give a huge round of applause to:

  • Brooke Rhykus – EPR and Dramatic Interpretation

  • Vivian Lundeen – EPR

  • Eleanna Hokenson – EPR and Humorous Duo

  • Chantal Murphy – Humorous Duo

  • Garrett Rider – EPR

They’ll be heading out tomorrow at 3 P.M., so let’s give them a warm send-off and wish them the best of luck at State this Saturday! Go Comets!

The High School Student Council is hosting its Annual Golf Scramble on May 17th, and we’re calling all golfers—novice or pro—to join in! Registration is open until May 1st, so don’t delay! It’s sure to be a fun-filled day on the green with prizes, camaraderie, and a chance to support our Student Council’s projects. For more information or to sign up, check out our school website or contact Mrs. Severson directly through the school. Let’s swing into action!

A huge congratulations to our incredible Drone Racing Team! Barrett Kangas, Austin Dehner, and Parker Schmidt have officially qualified for the State Competition taking place May 3rd & 4th in Fargo! These students have shown amazing precision, skill, and dedication throughout the season, and we can’t wait to see them take flight at State. Let’s go, Comet Flyers!

That’s it for now, Comets, but stay tuned—there’s never a dull moment around here!
