Happy Thursday, Comets!

This week has certainly been a whirlwind of activity, but let’s take a moment to reflect on some of the exciting highlights!

First, just a reminder that this week is a full five-day week, as we’re making up for our first snow day. We hope everyone is ready to power through until Friday!

Monday marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day to honor the incredible legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As a key leader in the Civil Rights Movement, his vision for equality and justice continues to inspire us today. If you’re curious about how we celebrated this important day, be sure to check out our social media page on Facebook for more details.

We also have some fantastic news to share about our amazing FTC team! For the 10th year in a row, our team has qualified for the state level competition! This is an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and dedication. This year, they built not one, but two robots and scored the highest in all of their matches. We’re sure that with their skills and determination, they’ll continue to impress at the state level!

In sports news, our girls’ and boys’ basketball teams are staying busy with a full week of games. Both teams are playing three games this week, and the action is already underway! On Monday, the girls took on Kenmare, and on Tuesday the boys faced off against Trenton. Today, both teams will be going head-to-head with Parshall, and on Saturday, they’ll take on Beach starting at 1:00. We’d love to see you there to cheer on our Comets—your support makes all the difference!

As we all know, winter weather can be unpredictable, so it’s crucial to stay prepared. A quick reminder: students will not be allowed to board the bus without proper winter gear. Hats, gloves, coats, and scarves are all essential for staying warm in the chilly temperatures, so please make sure you’re bundled up appropriately before heading out.

That’s all for now! We’re looking forward to another great week ahead. See you tomorrow, Comets!
