Hello, Comets! It’s been an exciting and eventful week, so let’s take a look at everything going on!

First, a quick update on our basketball teams. There are six games happening this week, three for the boys and three for the girls. On Monday, the girls had a tough loss against Tioga, but the boys came out strong with a win over Belfield on Tuesday. Tonight, both teams are playing Trinity Christian, and we want to see as many fans as possible come out and show their Comet pride! Let’s pack the stands and cheer them on to victory!

Next, let’s give a huge round of applause to our wrestling team. Clay Getzlaff had an outstanding performance, placing first at the Middle School State Wrestling Tournament, and Haas Lundeen also made an impressive showing by earning fourth place. Corey Getzlaff placed fourth at the Rumble on the Red as wellβ€”what an amazing accomplishment! Our wrestlers Luke Van Why, Ryan Olson, and Kaiden Culbertson also worked incredibly hard and put up great performances, and we couldn’t be more proud of all of them. We are fortunate to have such dedicated and talented athletes representing our school.

This Saturday, our FTC (First Tech Challenge) team will be participating in a qualifying round. Best of luck to them as they showcase their skills and teamwork in this exciting competition. We’re sure they’ll give it their all!

Another big congratulations is in order for our Juniors and Seniors, who won the Christmas Hallway Decorating Contest! Both classes did an incredible job transforming their hallways into festive winter wonderlands, and they earned root beer floats as their well-deserved prizes. It’s great to see the spirit of creativity and teamwork in action.

A quick but important reminder to all students: please make sure you have the proper winter gear, such as coats, gloves, hats, and boots. It’s essential for your safety and comfort, and students without the proper winter gear will not be allowed on the bus. If you’re in need of any winter clothing, don’t hesitate to stop by the officeβ€”they are more than happy to help.

As we wrap up the week, we hope everyone has a wonderful weekend filled with rest and fun. Enjoy some time with family and friends, and get ready for another action-packed week ahead. Go Comets!
