“Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man.” –Benjamin Franklin
Welcome back, Comets! We hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday break, and are feeling recharged and ready to take on the second semester. This week, we kicked off Semester Two on Wednesday, allowing our students the extra time to finish their Semester One finals on Monday and Tuesday. We hope everyone felt well-prepared and confident in their assessments!
We’re excited to announce that Speech Season officially started on Monday. This year, we’re thrilled to report that the team has grown, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more students develop their speaking and performance skills. Speech is a fantastic way to build confidence, improve public speaking abilities, and develop critical thinking skills. If you’re interested in joining the team and being a part of these valuable experiences, please reach out to Mrs. Erickson for more details. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends and challenge yourself!
Our recent canned food drive was a huge success, thanks to the generous donations from students, families, and community members! We’ve collected so much that we now have extra food available for families who may need a little assistance. If your family could benefit from this, please visit the office to fill out a form, and we’ll make sure you’re able to access the resources. Your kindness and generosity have made a significant impact, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the spirit of giving that our school community has shown.
As we know, winters in North Dakota can be freezing, and it’s important to stay prepared and safe during the winter months. A quick reminder: students will not be allowed on the buses without proper winter gear. This includes hats, gloves, scarves, coats, and boots. Please ensure that your child is dressed warmly before heading to school, as this will help protect them from the harsh elements. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe and comfortable during these chilly months!
