“We never really grow up, we just learn how to act in public.” –Bryan White
As the weather grows cooler, our fall sports are coming to an end. Football, Volleyball, and Drama have all finished their seasons, and each group competed hard! Jordan Hernandez, Jacob Novak, Shane Cross, and Jadon Champion each made the All-Region Nine-Man football team, with honorable mentions going to sophomores Corey Getzlaff and Jullian Gant. Jordan also won Nine-Man Football Senior of the Year! The season was definitely a successful one.
Volleyball had regionals earlier this week at Williston State College. They played hard against some adamant teams, and we’re very proud to call each of them Comets. They ended the season with seven wins.
Drama performed at regionals last Tuesday. They competed against six other teams with their performance of Hollow by Trevin McLaughlin. “We improved a lot, and we all had fun,” said Chantal Murphy following the performance.
“We could have been better prepared, but we had a lot of potential,” adds Ben Honstein.
The Drama team is giving a public performance tomorrow night (Friday the 15th) at 6;30 in the Old Gym at the school. Come by and see our young stars perform!
As fall sports end, winter sports are already starting. Junior High Wrestling had their first competition on Monday in IDAK, and basketball signups are up!
On Sunday (the 17th), Open Gym for 7-12 boys basketball starts at 6:30. Feel free to come by and hone your hooping skills!
Don’t forget about Turkey Bingo next week on the 21st! Play some bingo and win some prizes!
See you Friday for the Drama performance, Comets!
