Election week has been a bustle of activity in Alexander! To start, the Seniors who could vote did so for the first time with Mrs. Severson in Cartwright. As many people know, Donald Trump is once again President. In terms of North Dakota, Measures 1 and 3 passed, while Measures 2, 4, and 5 were all vetoed.
On Tuesday, the drama team performed at regionals. Their play was a rendition of Sleepy Hollow. Those involved in the drama program worked extremely hard to make the play a success! A community performance is in the works.
The varsity volleyball team has regionals this week, and they’re definitely on track to make a point on the volleyball court! Our girls play and work hard every day to participate. The tournament begins on the 11th and runs through the 14th. Swing by and cheer on our lady Comets!
This week, the school held a fundraiser for Mrs. Samantha Vaira. For $5, students could wear a hat all week. All proceeds went to Mr. Vaira to help pay for medical and travel expenses as she journeys to Houston to receive specialized treatment for acute myelogenous leukemia.
